I really think that the ending to lord of the Flies was an inaccurate ending to a story that was good at representing my beliefs about human nature. I feel like it just wasn't right that all the sudden they just get rescued and all will live happily ever after. The way the flow to the story was going, I think that Ralph should've been killed by the hunters, because he lost control of power. He did not know that to maintain power, sometimes you have to do things that might hurt some people. He didn't deserve to live because in that live or die situation, you have to take control and do whatever it takes for you to survive. Jack took control and laid down the line because he knew he had to in order to survive.
Lord of the Flies was a conformation of my beliefs because the man who followed my philosophies ended up successful, and in power in a live or die situation.
I believe that the lost boys story is extremely unlikely and the only reason the situation played out the way it did was because there were so many of them. It would have been unrealistic to elect a third party leader to try and govern thousands of helpless boys. It would have been unrealistic to try an elect any type of leader at all in that situation.
